The temperature is always significantly off to the point that it has no worth to anyone in Flower Mound, Texas.
Snow??? in the middle of summer!Robin Pringle - Jan 5, 2009 - Report this comment
Has always been fairly accurate, but today there is snow and 19°C(66°F), sunny skies out, what gives???, Hey Ken in Juneau I think our info got crossed in the wires somewhere!
I really like the weather gadget but I accidentally have two for the same place and would like to replace one with my local weather. How do I cancel one of them?
Icons are consistently incorrect and lie -- shoveled a couple of feet of what was shown as sunny skys Ken in Juneau
Does well with tricky Colorado Rocky Mountain weather. - reservationswc@amigo.net - Jan 4, 2009 - Report this comment
We've had this on the home pages for the front desk and the guests' computer for about four months and are pleased with the gadget for local and travel destination conditions. Even with mountain-generated weather, including the Wolf Creek Ski Area snow, we feel well-informed and responsive to our Lodge guests. However, I'm trying to discover a way to pinpoint weather stations (like KCPW on Wolf Creek Pass) that are not within a "city." -Uncle Genie at Wolf Creek Lodge
Where do these forecasts come from? Although Melbourne (Australia) has notoriously fickle weather, Google weather never matches the official Bureau of Meteorology forecasts (http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDV10450.shtml) or what actually transpires.
Not very reliable - sometimes the temperature is off as much as 10 degrees.
cool gadget, but missing the sorting option - Anonymous - Jan 3, 2009 - Report this comment
Perfect weather gadget - everything I need. But it seriously needs a sorting function. If you track more than one location you want to have them in a certain order (your home town on top).
"new" interface broke weather link. - Daniel Jensen - Jan 3, 2009 - Report this comment
The "new" Google ig interface broke the weather link for my city. If I click on it it goes to http://www.google.com/ig# instead. Very weird. If I go to google.ca/ig it works fine.
Dear Anonymous - Jan 2, 2009 - In the upper right corner of the weather gadget box you will see a arrow pointing downward. Click on this and a pull down menu will appear with "Edit Setting". You can use this to delete Irving, TX. I just did and added Paris, France.
Usually daytime high temperatures are shown first followed by nighttime lows. When low temperatures are shown first there can be some confusion as to whether that low temperature is the cold AM temperature you wake up to or the PM one you sleep through that night. Is it just my gadget that is reading this way? If so, how do I reverse it? (The Add-A-Gadget shows the highs followed by the lows.)
I entered 75015 and got Irving, TX instead of Paris, France. Now I cannot delete it. I don't care about Irving but I'm doomed to wee it forever. This is maddening!
The gadget says current conditions are mostly cloudy, but there is not one shred of cloud in the sky.
Where do the temperatures come from? - Anonymous - Jan 2, 2009 - Report this comment
I have to admit, when you compare the forecast with local met offices, the temperatures do look made up. Where do they originate from? Looks pretty though, which is presumably why people rate it.
Ron, This can be resolved by flying to Paris and driving along the A13 north-west towards Rouen (which has a very impressive cathedral BTW). You will find life in France very pleasant.
I live in Fairbanks, Alaska. It is December 31, 2008, the temperature outside is -41, this weather gadget showed -2 and has been consistently incorrect.
Brisbane Australia: more accuracy required - sailorab@hotmail.com - Jan 1, 2009 - Report this comment
Pictures sometimes relate to the official forecast but the temperatures are always different to other forecasts (and wrong). Somebody put this gadget out of its misery and remove it from the iGoogle directory.
